Mold-infested spaces expose people to mold, bacteria, and their metabolites, all of which disrupt bowel function. Mold spores and bacteria stimulate mast cells. Chemicals such as mycophenolic acid (MPA) suppress immune function. Mycotoxins induce cell death of the intestinal wall. Due to the catastrophic gastrointestinal effects from damp building exposure, sensitive patients may not tolerate harsh or constipating binders that are commercially utilized in animal feed.

Gentle Bind TM meets the needs of sensitive patients for whom fiber or pharmaceutical binders cause digestive disturbance. Gentle Bind TM provides long-chain aloe polysaccharides, using a low-heat extraction method which preserves the bioactive components, including aloe-emodin, aloin, aloesin, emodin, and acemannan. This makes the aloe in Gentle Bind TM stand out for quality and efficacy.

GI upset

The 3 capsules per day was not tolerated by everyone. Some of my patients had to take an extended break. They did report, however, that it significantly suppressed mast cells for those with MCAS. That was a nice support to their treatment plan.
